I  am doing my project on  Hiram Rhodes.He  was born on September 27,1827 in Fayetteville,NC.He had one child named Susan Revels and was the first African-American to be a US congress.Also a senator through 1817-1871 and a republican.He represented Mississippi.I chose this person because  i thought it was cool to be the first African-American to work as US congress.I found my information at www.biography.com/people/Hiram-r-Revels-9456129
